Athens Community Council on Aging
Founded in 1967 by local citizens, ACCA aims to maintain and enrich the lives of older persons in a 12-county area with numerous programs and activities.

Institute of Gerontology
The institute, part of UGA’s College of Public Health, provides links to many online resources on aging (see Outreach and Resources on the institute’s website).

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UGA offers courses, luncheon programs, travel-study trips, special interest groups and social events. Membership is open to anyone over age 50 (annual fee is $60).

Georgia Retired Educators Association
GREA is a dues-based organization chartered in 1958 that represents retired educators statewide.

University System of Georgia Retiree Council
The purpose of the University System of Georgia Retiree Council is to promote and foster the welfare of System retirees and of the University System of Georgia through the combined creativity and expertise of retiree representatives from System institutions. Membership of the USGRC is composed of one voting representative from each USG institution who is a member of that institution’s community of retirees.
